To mimic local production practices and to ensure trial uniformity, our trials are planted using research planters and not by hand.
Trust the evaluation of your corn genetics to ICMS! A company that has been devoted solely to crop research since 1985 and comprised of a team of Agronomists with over 25 years of corn production experience. To mimic local production practices and to ensure trial uniformity, our trials are planted using research planters and not by hand. This allows us to get uniform seed placement across various soil types vs the variation often experienced with hand planters. Our plots are four rows wide and replicated four times, not one, allowing a larger sample for evaluations. We also use the same lab that local dairy growers use, Fraser Analytical Services, to analyze our samples for quality using the MILK 2006 testing standards. CowChow is the best option for trialing your corn genetics in BC!

The CowChow variety program started in 2019 with co-op corn silage variety trials in the Fraser Valley. Trialing has expanded and trials are now run in both the Okanagan and Fraser Valleys of British Columbia.
